Cooks Candle Making Project

Your ELP Instructor will provide beeswax sheets and wick for candle making. The wax needs to be soft before you start working it. You can soften the sheets by warming them by the fire, or better yet, put them in the sun (safer). Be careful not to melt them.

One sheet makes 3 candles.

1. Fold and cut the sheet into thirds widthwise

2. Cut a length of wick equal to the height of the sheet plus one inch.

3. Roll the sheet along its short dimension around the wick leaving an inch of wick sticking out.
