Fort Ross Conservancy presents our first ever summer day camp! The Fort Ross Nature camp will be led by our Coastal Naturalist Dr. Dione Deaker. Dione has a PhD in marine biology and extensive experience working with kids of all ages. Each day of camp will include a mix of fun science experiments and kid-friendly field work, such as creating a nature journal, monitoring harbor seals & sea lions, and exploring the tidepools. Since this is SUMMER CAMP, naturally there will also be loads of games, such as sand castle contests, hermit crab races, treasure hunts in the historic fortress and much more!
Fort Ross State Historic Park is the perfect setting for fun learning and recreation. Kids will get to explore the Park’s diverse wildlife and coastal grounds from the redwood forest to the sandy beach. Sign your kids up for one, two…or even all five days for this unforgettable experience!
